Whosoever Shall Offend These Little Ones

And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones

it is better that a millstone were hanged about his neck

and he were cast into the sea

And whosoever shall kill and slaughter these little ones

it is better that a millstone were hanged about his neck

and he were cast into the sea

And whosoever shall let these little ones die

in fear and agony

it is better that a millstone were hanged about his neck

and he were cast into the sea

And whosoever shall continue to let these little ones die

in blood and wrath

it is better that a millstone were hanged about his neck

and he were cast into the sea

so many little ones

so many millstones

so many necks

I suppose that is why the sea is so large

And so monstrous
